The Journey Begins

Hello! My name is Alexis and I’m 18 years old. I have been traveling since I was a wee baby to places all over the United States and the world! My goal is to share these experiences with YOU in order to promote the wonders of traveling all over the earth.

Growing up as a pilot’s daughter, I have had the luxury of traveling standby which is a huge blessing! Through this benefit, I have been able to explore destinations like London, Paris, Panama City, Dublin, Xi’an, Sydney, and more.

Traveling has not only been a part of my childhood, but has truly shifted my world perspective to one that is more cognizant of other cultures and tolerant of the differences that make us unique.

Traveling is also a lifestyle! Growing up, I have had extended family members live all over the planet; from Costa Rica to Japan to Rome, my family never seems to settle in the US haha. However, this has been incredible for me because I am able to see new things and take away life lessons from doing life with my fam all over the world!

Now, here’s a little more about me! I live in Colorado which is a place incomparable in beauty to any place on the earth (seriously, you NEED to come visit here!) I recently graduated from high school and plan to continue my studies this fall at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. I was very active in Speech/Debate, Model United Nations (MUN), Key Club (community service), Friends of Rachel (kindness and inclusion), and Newspaper as the editor-in-chief of our news magazine!

Now, why did I decide to start this blog? Well, recently one of my good friends was traveling to Maui and asked me if I had any suggestions regarding what to do there. Seeing as I had been there 22 times prior (cue the spoiled brat hair flip), I decided to make him a sort of “itinerary.” It turned out it was a HUGE success and him and his family loved everything I suggested to them. SO, I want to share my experiences with you and inspire you to dream more, see more, and do more! This is your life, so live it up!!

P.S. I absolutely LOVE to receive comments from you guys! Whether you travel to a place I’ve blogged about or want me to do a specific blog on a destination, let me know!! Feedback is so helpful and always welcome 🙂

Also, my instagram is wistful_wayfare so feel free to follow, like, and comment on my page!!
